The storybook countryside of Malpils, Latvia is the setting for the International Performers Village, a four-week course/production experience August 1-28th, 2008.
It is open to professional actors, dancers, singers, musicians as well as directors, choreographers, playwrights, scriptwriters and stage designers from around the world.
Every creative genre, technique and style is welcome. There are roles for film makers, photographers, body painters, mask makers and multimedia artists.
The program is designed as an intensive course using the Ostrenko method. Through training, discussions and rehearsals each artist will become part of the work-in-progress under the artistic direction of Sergey Ostrenko. At the end of the course it will be performed for an audience.
Village 08 is an opportunity for performers and artists to uncover new talents, share current ones, and network with others from each part of the globe.
The first deadline is December 20, 2008 and applying by this date ensures a significant savings on participation fees which include all room and board.
